Special Effects for Decoration. With this kit you can achieve stunning patina texture. Follow these steps to paint the surface of your. Base Coat: Begin by painting the surface with Metallic Rustic Copper color and allow it to dry completely. Layering: After the base coat dries, apply lighter colors selectively over the surface, focusing on areas where rust would naturally form. Build up the layers gradually for a realistic effect. Finishing Touches: Use a dry brush technique for the final layer. Dip the tip of a dry brush into paint and lightly tap it over the surface to create a textured, coated effect resembling aged rust.
